Anyone with real info? Why would WinMo be different to say Ubuntu on N900?

Ubuntu is open source whereas winMo is not, therefore it's far too much work (not that I'm an expert).
But not having the source code makes things very difficult.

Well ..I think my sentences are very obvious .I said "I've seen some one dual booting android with maemo" not wm
thanks for ur kind response any how..
I've seen on youtube that someone succeeded to dual boot android and maemo on n900 , but can any one tell me how could he do that?
and Is it possbile to dual boot maemo and windows mobile ?
can any one tell me how plz?
what if I wanted to boot android or windows mobile only and remove the maemo from my system , is that possible also?
I'm actually a new user of linux operating systems .
