Having a strange problem with my n900, just wondered if anyone else had seen this problem? When I try and reboot it shows the Nokia logo then power`s down again no dots, no nothin, but when I put the usb cable connected to the laptop it boots up normally. Tried re-flashing the 1.1.1 firm and the emmc, still no luck. Do you guys think it needs to go back for repair?????????????? thx

Have you tried charging it? Try booting with the charger attached.

Is the battery holding its charge?
Have you installed either BatteryEye or BatteryGraph to see what the voltage of the battery is.
You could try a different battery, go to your nearest Nokia shop and see if you can try it with a battery they will have.

The battery is holding the charge fine! it just wont boot without being plugged in right at the start of the boot!! very strange!! but it`s fine once it on, acts completely normal Almost like it needs a kick start or something!

Have you tried taking the battery out, leaving it for a bit then trying again. Doing that has solved boot problems for me.
