Hello all

As shows in the title my N900 just happened to slip out of my pocket while i was on the bike apart from 1 little problem my slider dose not work, all the buttons on the keyboard work and all is fine apart from this. I have installed health check and even in there with the keyboard open it shows as closed ; in txt messages even with keyboard open it dispalys onscreen keyboard and i do not get lightup keyboard anymore.

So any sugestions ? already had the phone open to clean out the grit but unsure on how the open keyboard switch is activated .

i await ur replys.

thanks chris

Wow - you're lucky its still even semi-functional!

I know that's not helpful and I hope you get it fixed. Possibly some sort of ribbon cable linking them together?

The open keyboard switch is magnetic I think, so presumably the magnet has been dislodged. Exactly where it sits (and where it's ended up) I don't know though.
