Is there any sort of equalizer for Canola? Things to adjust treble and bass, not the other kind. Well, if the other kind at least some presets.

so far none. there is an equalizer for the media ayer. and since canola uses the same plugin, id work for it. search some where in the forums. ull find an equalizer. worked for me but the playback took a while and sometimes lagged etc. also it runs on cpu so adverse battery effect

3430 has EQ band operation, but only the Archos 5 seems to use the function in an interface for current Omap devices. Ironically, the Archos 5 sound sux though, due to the volume cap that Archos France adheres to. Great video player, but worst sounding device I have ever owned. N900 is one of my better sounding devices- even without the EQ 
Edit: I think the Sammy phones that use the 3430 have hardware based EQ controls.
