i really like da phone alot, i had n95 8gb before it and i think that the n900 is way better. however there are things that i cant seem to work out and i need help wz.

1.it is really annoying, that i have to press on the menu buttom to show missed calls and sms, i found an app call callnotify, but i read somewhere hat it isnt safe yet to use as it is found in the extra devel. true or not?

2.is there any free office app?

3.i have installed msn pecan, but it is not stable at all, it keeps disconnecting, and there is a big delay. any better plugin? also where can i fownload fring, i cant find it on the ovi store?

4.the file manager is very primitive. is there anything similar to x-plorer or y-browser?

5.how can i hide a file or conversation. in my n95 there were many apps that could hide sms, pictures...etc. cant find one here?

6.i m really frustrated wz music player. the data it shows is completely different than the one in the mp3. i edit them on my computer using windows media player and i checked it wz mp3tageditornut still it shows different info. also how can i enable album artist, the albums are showing wz various artist at the bottom.

7.will there ever be ovi suite support cause nokia pc suite sux?

2. Yes, install Easy Debian and you'll have OpenOffice 3.1

3. Dunno, I don't IM that much, I use Pidgin.

4. Easy Debian comes with pcmanfm which is very similar to Nautilus on Ubuntu. Since it's running from the debian chroot it can't access some things in your filesystem (like things on the root partition), but it's lightyears ahead of the crappy stock file browser.

5. Dunno, but it's about as personal a device as you can own (and use in public ), you can use the device lock to secure the whole thing

6. Maybe someone else can help you with that. I always keep my MP3 collection neatly organized with an ID3 tag editor and I haven't had any problems.
