Since I don't have a place to put my N900 at while going out (drinking), I get used to go out without a phone :P It's a bit annoying not even having a clock with me ....

It comes with a cellphone pocket (visible to the upper-right), and the N900 slips in easily. I have a lanyard attached so it's easy to remove also.

In case anyone's curious, the Geekpurse is a Maxpedition "Fatboy" Versipack; found it through a Gadgeteer review. I can't stand the name ("fatboy"? c'mon!), but I've had the bag for almost half a decade and have had zero problems. The spool-like thing with the spinning star on the upper-left is a custom key chain reel - I remain my mother's child and so easily lose my keys unless I attach them with something like that.
Dude, thanks a lot for bringing this up.. I didn't know such gear exist! I'm ordering the jumbo version...

My former telephone was the wonderful Nokia N95 8G. I had a Nokia made belt pouch for it wihich I loved. It has padding on one side to protect the screen and a snap button to keep it securly closed. When I bought the N900 I spent a week looking for something similar, in vain. Then just on a whim i tried to stick the N900 in the old pouch and was overjoyed to see it fit !!! The N900 is almost exactly as thick as the N95 and there is enough "length" in the old pouch so that there really is a perfect fit. I can very quickly pull it put to answer calls. I wish I had discovered this sooner, I don't know when or how, but I had the N900 unprotected in my pocket and scratched the hell out of the screen. My N95 was indestructable, the N900 is much more sensitive. Be careful !!

I don't trust my pocket also
I lost my N87 as it slipped though a hole from the shirt pocket. Now don't ask me how I got that big hole in my pocket

My font pocket is completely full with all my fonts, so I keep my N900 in my front-left jeans pocket.

The only other thing I ever put in that pocket is a handkerchief. Once without thinking, I put the Nokia earbuds in there, and after a ten minute walk the 3.5mm plug had already scratched the screen protector.

One problem I had was that the lens cover sometimes worked its way open and drained the battery. Because of that, I now always put the phone in the pocket one way only (screen outwards, camera towards the top) and it never comes open anymore.
