I wonder if Symbian supports ext3. The N8 has USB on the go and is capable of 720p playback over HDMI, but any movies would be too large for FAT32.

Although without 1080p support, it's only 90% there to being a portable movie player.

Nice camera but let's see how it works
Battery life (But I do not belive 4 days of discrete uses, maybe standby)

Con:
Screen too small, 4 inch would have been far better with this camera and media attitude
CPU slow - But we need to put it on the test before giving a real opinion
No hardware keyboard... that is a pity... I love n900's...
It is thick compared to Nexus and Desire
and then the worst of all:
SYMBIAN. I saw the videos... it looks like a 5 years old OS already...

Anyway I am not buying it, I love my n900 for multimedia and I like light and snappy Nexus as my phone... I will upgrade it only for bettere CPU performances and bigger screen... and off course a major OS, which might include meego but defenitly not include Symbian... of any edition...

I don't see any notification that it has native xvid/divx playback...

You could try formatting a micro SD card and putting it on a phone... if I have some time this afternoon I'll test that in my E71.

Dont hate on Engadget. One of the best sites out there. I check that more than I do this forum. Also gizmodo, arstechnica, kotaku, cnn, yahoo finance and gamespot/gamepro amongst many other. You drank a tall glass of Haterade this morning huh?

I would say they drink said tall glass of Haterade before writing anything Nokia-related. Action and reaction.

This thing called 'mid-range' appears to be vanishing... I'll go with 'cheap high-end'

I dont think they do. They are just like us excited about new stuff. When it arrives they give it a look over just like I would personally. Most of their reviews are spot on in my opinion-as far as stuff I would like is concerned- and they have disappointments also when the hardware doesnt match the hype. I've met one of thier guys and he(Chris Ziegler) was just as geeked about cell phones like me. He was walking around with the Cliq before anybody else (review unit) and he I were discussing the possibility of Tmobile bringing the N900 into the fold. Evetybody has their views on things and I think that maybe people hate a little too much-(FANBOY Statement) maybe because they are so huge and break so many stories people get jealous cause thier little site doesnt garner any attention. That's all Im saying.
