seems like all the goodies are left on extra-devel and testing and nothing really comes to extras,why is that??
there are many apps on devel and testing which i would really like to have,but im afraid to get into rootfs issues all over again

A great many things are stuck there because they will run best on PR1.2.

As far as I know, the problem with the apps requiring PR1.2 has been fixed, so the majority of those apps can now be installed on the normal end-user devices.
So, no, PR1.2 has nothing to do with this.
