havent used nokia for years, never touched an n7 or n8 device, never used linux and it was the first time i heard of maemo ( and i used to call it may-mo) lol. but i did what ur doing now; a solid 5 days reading on the device; bookmarking and stumbling on this site before i ordered it; now am confident in most areas....terminal; flashing; overclocking etc. i even have people asking me what to do with theirs. best device ive owned and will def buy the next version. the communicaton intergration is what does it 4 me.

Yo dude i am from Malaysia too bought it for 2280 official launching price, trust me get it its an awesome phone which you can play around, not that hard my friend i dont even have linux background but yea now i am learning a little here and there on linux

As a linux noob, it took me less than a week to take full advantage of my N900 including terminal commands and deep customization.

I really hate when reviewers say that it's unwieldy for new users to learn. Any reviewer who says that should not be in the business. (looking at you Josh Topolsky)

finally,just got my N900..still learning to use it..learning the xterm commands.. =)
