Hi all,

I currently have a three simfree plan which used to work great. Unfortunately, three did something to their network in the last two week and now the N900 is barely able to connect to internet. I am planning to change networks.

1. O2, no 3g signal where i work.
2. Vodafone, the recent changes to T&C are scary.
3. Orange, they have a anti-voip policy. My main purpose is to use voip.
4. T-mobile, no idea about them.

My current plan is £15 pounds, 300 minutes, 1GB data.

Any recommendations for the best simfree plan?

Uh.
Can you elaborate what 3 has changed or how you found out? Any info you got?
Asking as I expect a lot more people to run into the same problem...

I`m on that plan and it works great in East London.....(some areas though have crap signal.....North london, and sometimes around Russel square)....I don`t think you could get a better plan than that!

In south and east of cambridge it has been rubbish for the past three weeks. Used to be brilliant before. I went to heathrow last week and it worked very well there. So something is screwed up in my area.

I do like the three plan very much, not very happy giving it up.

Have you contacted 3 to ask whether they're aware of a problem?

Three customer support did mention that there was a UK wide outage two weeks ago, but its been fixed. Nonetheless, the site engineer is going to check this area. One of the problems talking to customer support is that they dont support any issues with non-three phones which is a bummer!

im currently using tmobile uk. their fair usage of 'unlimited internet' is 1gb, which i think i quite reasonable, considering that i use 3g connection 24/7 cuz i have no wifi at home, and i've never been charged anything extra.

having said that, i dont think the coverage of tmobile uk is all that great, i get full 3g signal when i put the n900 near the window, but when using in the middle of the house, 3g signal is non existence. and yea most importantly, the internet speed isnt the fastest, i compared mine with a friend using iphone 3gs on orange, and a friend using Nokia E71 on vodafone, and im the slowest.

I use giffgaff PAYG. Works great but it uses O2 so may not work in your area.
