Hi!

I have a N800 with OS2008, and noticed I have quite a few registered networks (30+). So, if I was in a computer, there would be a checkbox in order to show the WEP/WPA password for a given network I saved, but I just can't find it in the OS2008.

I Need to retrieve those passwords, but I'm not sure how. Is there a simple way to do it that I'm missing?

Thanks!

Yes, they are stored in gconf. gconf-editor is the easyest way of navigating through gconf keys. What you are looking for is under /system/osso/IAP

It was in a different place on my N900 when I looked for it just now. I got what I needed with
$ gconftool-2 -R /system/osso/connectivity/IAP

FWIW, I found the files down beneath:

/etc/osso-af-init/gconf-dir/system/osso/connectivity/IAP/

Looks for the %gconf.xml file which contains your desired SSID,
and then look for the entry with the name EAP_wpa_preshared_passphrase (or whatever related name for your own crypto selection).
