The old Dreambox Remote Control has 3 Buttons in the Bottom, is that correct?
My DM600(enigma1) has exactly the same remote.

I extracted these values from the web remote html:

Code:
116	Power
2 1
3 2
4 3
5 4
6 5
7 6
8 7
9 8
10 9
158 previous
11 0
159 next
115 volume up
113 mute
402 bouquet up
114 volume down
1 lame
403 bouquet down
358 info
103 up
141 dream
105 left
352 OK
106 right
392 audio
108 down
393 video
398 red
399 green
400 yellow
401 blue
385 tv
377 radio
66 text
138 help

Thanks a lot!

The codes are mostly the same. (don't know why they changed several)

This Buttons are different:
Code:
158 previous
159 next
377 radio
385 tv
66 text
141 dream
The Enigma1 "Dream" Button is at the Enigma2 the "Menu" Button?

So, then I have all connected expect code "1 - lame", at Enigma2 the code 1 is also a "reserved" code or something like that. (I don't know)

I will try to upload a new package soon.

So, DreamRemote 0.2.0-3 is aviable.

Now with Enigma1 support. I hope everything works fine.

A known Bug:
After changing the settings from Enigma2 to Enigma1 the text of the "Menu" Button changes to the "Dream" Button only after a restart.

I know the concept how to fix. But I need some time to digg in how it works exactly without a restart. (and today I have no more time left)
But I guess not so a big issue.

I guess yes, the new Version (uploaded 1 hour ago) should support the DM 500-S. Just select Enigma1 in the settings and report how it works.

I have no DM 500. So I can't test it.

Enigma1 support seems to work fine on my DM600 now!

Only the 'exit' button doesn't seem to work, but that is the button in the web interface labeled as 'lame'.

And the menu button code is the same as for enigma2, the web interface shows dream on the menu button. I've attached a screenshot, so you can see what I mean.

The real remotes are exactly the same, I have no idea why they played with this in the web part

Ah, okay. I missed that. The Number 1 is at Enigma2 not connected but still listed in the table I found several weeks ago.

I uploaded a new version to Autobilder. I don't know why they have changed several codes and keep the most Buttons the same. But now it should work.

I guess you have the new version of the Remote bought with your DM-600. As far as I know the original remote control had Dream on the Menu Button, thats correct. And they had also a seperate row of Buttons in the Bottom for play, stop, rew and fwd. But that is several years ago. I only found a image of this remote at the web...

What would you prefer for Enigma1 at the DreamRemote?
"Menu" at the Menu Button or "Dream" at the Menu Button?

Then I can change this in the next version...

great idea but I couldn't install the software.

installation failed because of missing packages:
libqt4-core
libqt-sql
conflicts: python2.5-qt4-gui

Hmm... oookay, I guess this could be because of the python2.5-qt4-sql depencie:
http://maemo.org/packages/package_in.../4.7.3-maemo2/

This libary has 3 missing depencies. "libqt4-core", "libqt4-gui" and "libqt4-sql"

I discussed this in a eMail with the the maemo.org webmaster.
This was the reply:
That is caused by the upcoming PR1.2 firmware. I'm using that firmware
already, so I do not have this problem.

The whole Qt and PR1.2 situation is a bit of a mess currently, but it
should be fixed when PR1.2 comes out.
So I'm afraid to say this, but the upcomming PR1.2 release should fix this. (please don't ask for a date... )

It's working here and on several other devices. I guess because of a installed PyQt4. I found in this post:
Disable extras-devel and then refresh the catalogues and then download PyQT4 (or something similar) from extras. It will install and in turn this should install too. After that feel free to reenable extras-devel.
He is speaking of "PyQt4 Full install". (don't install this from extra Devel!)
Please try to install this package, reenable Extra Devel and try to install DreamRemote again.
Please report if this works.

I managed to test this myself:

TO ALL WITH PROBLEMS DURING THE INSTALLATION

Install "PyQt4 Full install" from the normal maemo-Extras (keep Extra-Devel disabled during the installation) and install DreamRemote after that the normal way from Extra-Devel.

Then it should work without problems!

With the official release of PR1.2 this will get (hopefully) unnecessary.
You can deinstall "DreamRemote" and "PyQt4 Full install" before the update to PR1.2 to save space on root (as far as I know is PyQt4 not fully optified) and install DreamRemote after PR1.2 the normal way again. (the settings of DreamRemote survive)
