Got this so far
That ip address belongs to akamai but a webrowser shows "invalid url".
Dunno why package manager is connecting to the ip on port 80?

doesn't the update come from the ssu repository from nokia itself?
instead of the extra's at maemo.org?
getting the extra's repo to work seems a pointless effort imho....
or am i wrong?

https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com says I'm not allowed to access it

The file everyone's looking at -- you do realize that that's just the extras repo, right?
Naturally the extras repo exists for PR1.2, and has for a while -- since the extras autobuilder was dumping PR1.2-only packages into fremantle extras for a while last month, I'd assume they forked it at that time (that is, when they fixed the autobuilder for 1.1).
You'd need to be browsing about Nokia's SSU repo to find hidden info about PR1.2 itself. But I suppose grabbing an unrelated timestamp and hyping it into the foreshadowing of imminent release is probably more in the spirit of this thread, anway.
