I'd be grateful for any advice you guys might have about why my N900 isn't powering on.

Last night, it ran out of battery (as normal). It seemed to turn off as normal. It's been on charge all night but this morning it just won't power on.

The orange light is on - but nothing happens at all when I press the power button.

Any ideas?

Try removing it from AC, then remove the battery for moments, put it back and try to restart normally. Might be is a battery problem... If it then can be it's software related and you have to try to guess where it went wrong... (ex: installed new app, changed some files, config, etc...)

all it needed was for the battery to be removed, replaced and now it's starting normally.
