Webm is Google's new open source/free codec. There is a gstreamer plugin patch available to add support. Has anyone tried compiling it for Maemo? It would nice if the N900 was the first phone with webm support.

Expect it soonish in Fennec and gstreamer. A bit thereafter in MicroB and the next Opera Mobile. What more do you need?
