abill_uk - you had it right with your previous post - don't feed the troll!

Let the op have the last word and feel all self-satisified and smug. The intellectually challanged should be afforded special consideration.

I am totally committed to destroying companies who sell me rubbish-ware. And have the resources to do so.
nokia did not put a gun to ya head and force you to buy the phone.
so destroying companies that you have a dislike in their products
is totally nonsense isn't it.

either you use the phone with crapdows vista as best as you can or sell it and buy another...... lots of kids here use Sony Ericsson.

these are suggestions only

Anyone who sells crap to me is in my space. While you might live in a common law country (like many of the posters to this thread), even your crappy sale of goods law in your lawless, non codified legal system, required the product sold to be of merchantable quality - ie fit for the purpose. There is a presumption that updates of the software are equally suitable for the purpose.

Let's get things straight. I would much much prefer Nokia to dominate the market for mobiles compared with Apple, Google, or HP.

The Nokia N200 is letting me down. This is totally pissing me off.

At the very least, I expect basic things to work. App free. Bog standard. Out of the box. There is no excuse for this not being the case.

And with that, lets let the thread die.

Guys, please don't feed the troll any more. The clues are clear. Read back through it to see the signs.

Who is intellectually challenged? Nokia. The company can't bring out a PC suite that works on a new Sony PC running Windows, to install an update of the PC software or an update of the phone software.

Can't bear the bitter truth? This is not a troll. I would love the N900 to be a stellar phone.

Wow, you must make friends really easily! This place isn't a Nokia corporate support forum, this is just fellow users trying to help each other.

You did understand that, right?

Good luck to you - I'm done trying to help a fellow user in this case.

Anyone who has used this phone will know that the hardware is fine (aside from the battery removal problem I described).

The problem is in the software. It is difficult to set a date, or do similar menu interactions using the touch screen, Or update the phone using a Vista machine. The software needs refinement to work properly.

I'm not here looking for friends. I'm hoping to make the N900 work properly.
