hi, i've flashed 2 times with different firmwares , trying to solve some errors like : callendar closed , get started closed (internal error) , adding contacts...WITH NO RESULT
now my n900 is completly empty (no contacts) ,and won't let me add any . if i wanna make a phonecall , i have to type it from the paper i wrote it . Can u help me solve this problem ? it's gettin' fustrating having no contact....
doesn't let me connect to ANY of my IM accounts : skype , yahoo , live , gtalk , gmail ....NOTHIN' !!!!

Why are you yelling as if your cardiac pacemaker app crashed. They're just damn contacts.

When you say 2 different firmwares - did you reflash with the EMMC firmware (as this will clear the device memory) then with the lastest firmware.

Try the EMMC firmware because if you have corrupted databases hopefully this will remove them and all hopefully all will Ok.

not only that my phone numbers are gone , but it won't even let me add any . contacts are those with a name and a telephone number that you call in gsm or 3G network , i'm not talking 'bout skype contacts , even if those were also gone , without any chance to add them.the "contacts" problem was only one of many other that my phone had, anyway , u didn't have to make that observation about the well ...that doesn't help solve my problem . it raised only your posts by one ....i'm wondering ....all of your posts are off topic ?

JonWW gave you the correct answer.

You should have a backup (you know, via the backup app) - you did make a backup before you started randomly reflashing your phone, right?

tryied 3 firmwares so far (RX-51_2009SE_2.2009.51-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin
RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8.203.1_PR_COMBINED_203_ARM.bin
and RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin) none of those worked out , even if i reflash eMMC
All that i had to do , was reflashing with RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.41-1.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin

without -R at the end , and than , with -R at the end .
My phone now is like new , with all the functions that has before , including add phone numbers ...hehe....

This post is not only for contact problem .i've also got errors like "get started was closed"(even if i don't care open it), like : NOT enough space , like : calendar closed (internal error)......so , for those that are posting without helping us , YES , LIKE ME THAT DIDN'T KNOW how to solve this and all other problems , please , tell us , where to find an answer if not in this forum ? Could you show some kindness and help the ones that don't know ? If u show that you are superior , doesn't solve our problems , but just wasting bouth of us time .
