Trying to link my GPS unit with Maemo Mapper while in Offline Mode seems to fail (but works in Normal mode), so I believe that being in Offline Mode should do the trick.
I don't believe however that this will help your attempts to increase battery life; I don't think the Nokia 770 keeps the Bluetooth radio on by default - only when you ask it to.

Does anyone know whether it's possible to turn off the bluetooth on the 770? I've looked around but can't find anything other than apps that do everything with bluetooth EXCEPT turning it off!
The reason I want to disable it, is to hopefully lengthen battery life.
Any ideas?
