Actually I think using current stable release 1.8.0 and packaging the campaigns in different packages would be a good idea. The current data package is a little too large in my opinion. I will take a look at it.

Well stable, but not optified properly and other stuff too. I've been meaning to update, but been too busy with family stuff lately.

So I've packaged wesnoth with the /opt/wesnoth/ prefix, so it should be optified. only problem is that the data package ends up in the wrong place, so that one has to be updated, or manually moved. Going to do some testing before I upload.

Sorry it took me so long, but I'm now uploading wesnoth-1.6.5-maemo3 to devel. and wesnoth-data-1.6.5-6. You don't really need to download the data again if you don't feel like it but if you don't you need to move or symlink the dir called (I think) /opt/usr/share/wesnoth to /opt/wesnoth/share/wesnoth for wesnoth to find the data.

Nice mece, any other changes other than being optimised?

hmm, deleted then re-installed Wesnorth and it works largely as before. A few moments afterwards I was notified of an update to version 1.6.5-maemo4. However I seem to have missing packages as it wont install.

Missing packages are "libsdl-ttf2.0 (>=2.0.9)"

I recommend you don't install the latest wesnoth yet, since there are no improvements other than the optification. Also note that while it's now optified the libraries it uses still take up quite a lot of rootsh space, so the difference is not that great. (around 4Mb I think)

I havent been able to upload the data package yet due to some ssl issues and the size of the bloody thing, so the new version will not work right away.

I'll try to fix it asap.

Is it possible to put the data files in MyDocs instead?
