The PC-suite requested me to update to Ovi suite 2.1. However, when I tried to connect my N900 with it this is what happened:

I hope that itīll be fixed. If not, we have been abandoned...

Isn't ovi suite a qt app? Why can't you port it to Linux?

My 2 trolling cents

Does anyone know of a way to only sync one way using Ovi Suite (from the N900 to the PC)?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I love it when people say "it works in the beta", it's like I tell my testers "strange, it worked on MY computer..."

Anyway, the question is not when will 2.2 go live. The question whether after it we will be in sync with other Nokia users, and won't need to forever for the Ovi stuff to be ready for the N900, like we need to wait almost a year from the release of the phone till it gets the "common" Nokia software (Ovi Suite)...

Until OVI 2.2 is out, you can always use PC Suite to sync with your PC. It can sync the contacts and/or calendar with it's own tool set, or with Outlook. Not the best solution, but it works (and has since the device launched).

You can do exactly that in PC Sync in the settings area. You can also tell it to sync both ways, but if there's a conflict you can force the phone to always be right. Since people using OVI Suite 2.2 are still beta (and shouldn't be talking about it publicly), if there IS a way to do it, it should be documented.

The Ovi beta is only supposed to be discussed at the official site per the NDA.

Please don't post about it here. That puts us in a very awkward position.
