I'm getting "Warning: This package does not have a proper description" with my package timidity-freepats. And it seems its not getting imported to Extras-devel.

Here is debian/control:

Code:
Source: timidity-freepats
Section: user/multimedia
Priority: extra
Maintainer: Lukas Hrazky <lukkash@email.cz>
Build-Depends: debhelper (>= 5)
Standards-Version: 3.7.2

Package: timidity-freepats
Architecture: all
Depends: ${shlibs:Depends}, ${misc:Depends}
Conflicts: duke3d-timidity
Replaces: duke3d-timidity
Description: Midi patches for timidity
 This package enables midi support for libsdl-mixer.
 It replaces the duke3d-timidity package (provides the same files).
I have no clue what is wrong with that. First I thought its the section, I tried to put it to "libs" and later "user/hidden" so that it wouldn't be visible in the Application Manager. But even with valid (is "libs" or perhaps "sound" valid section?) section I'm getting this...

I'm having the same problem. the fact that I have two different apps, one that works and one that doesn't makes it even more annoying...

Hmm.. can you paste debian/control of those 2? Maybe if you diffed them you'd find something that makes the difference? If there's nothing then the error must be caused by something else and I have absolutely no idea where to look....

There was something blocking the import queue, so the packages were not being processed. It should look better for you now.

Thanks, it does indeed

X-Fade, can you also tell me if its possible to put my package to a section different from "user/*"? Like section "sound" for example? I think its useless for my package to clutter the Application Manager when its only meant to be pulled as a dependency and is of no use on its own.

You should only use user/* categories when you want something visible in the AM. Otherwise you should use regular debian categories, like sound indeed.

Hello,

I'm having the same problem with a new package that I uploaded last night:

http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...l/flexo/0.2-6/

This is the control file:

http://gitorious.org/flexo/flexo/blo...debian/control

Can anybody tell if I'm doing something wrong, or should I just wait?

Francesco

Never mind, it seems that it takes a day or more for the description to appear. All is good now.
