Hello,

I have a similar problem, but it because when i first bought my n900 i 've installed all kinda of applications on it (from all kinda of repositories ) i want to ask how to totally format my device to restore it to its original status when i first unboxed, i flashed it to pr 1.1 and then pr 1.2 couple of times but still the slowness there and all my stuff as well ( flashing didnt remove user/apps files).
whats the best way to do that?

thanx

Its not really a sensible idea to go round closing processes when you don't know what they do. They're all there for a reason.

9% to 11% with CPU clocking at 250MHz sounds like a normal idle to me.

My audio has always been a bit glitchy, and may now be worse after PR1.2. Haven't had too many issues with video, myself.

audio has been mint only ocasionally stuttering but video streams are always poor if i was tbh it never has been good and hoped that a update would improve it, lol still hoping lol but reading other threads some people have good streams others don't, no industry standard

http://wiki.maemo.org

there is a link in the front page that says "update the tablet firmware"

the wiki is really pretty good, so if you have a little clue what you are looking for (doesn't apply fully to this situation), use it!
