ok...uploaded a .rar file, download and extract then copy the files in the 'images' folder into the folder '.images' on your n900 and the do the same with the 'sounds' folder....Hope that helps.

Thanks for the quick upload. Some of the images are missing from the archive though, but it's fine. A friend will buy N900 the following days, and I'll the (few) rest of them from him.
So, I assume that there is no other way to restore them. That's really not good. Leaving the user with 2 ringtones (Nokia Tune and Beep) after a format.

No problem...sorry there were some missing for you, but that's all that came with mine! maybe different regions have different images, who knows.
You're right though it's not great... i would have thought that all would have been restored!

Do you know, that file has been downloaded 14 times off my account and only the original poster said 'thanks'.
Don't want thanks but it might have been nice, anyway, i've deleted it now.

if you reflash the official eMMC image i think you get them back
I recently formated the main memory (Nokia N900) without getting any back up before. So I lost all the preloaded music and ringtones and the preloaded images (including the loopable ones).
How can I restore them?
So far, I tried reflashing through NSU, but it didn't help.
