hahahha, the funny thing - that adobe says that they can't say you anything as they work close with Nokia and only Nokia can tell. if someone can call both companies and put on speaker that they would talk to each other or forward emails from one to other - so they could give damn answer and stop playing pin-pong

Personally I'm not that interested in Flash but judging by the size of this thread many people want Flash on the n900.

This is highly embarrassing for Adobe and Nokia since neither of them want to take "ownership" of the problem.

If this was more publically visible and the press / bloggers started writing about this or someone launched an active campaign publicizing this problem then Adobe & Nokia would have to do something.

You'd get Steve Jobs saying "I told you so".
Open source people (e.g. Richard Stallman) would say "Adobe/Nokia are evil because their stuff is proprietory"
You'd get Internet standards commitees saying "The web should be open and not hostage to a third-party"
You'd get Microsoft saying "Use Silverlight/Moonlight instead and the source code is available too"

The last thing Adobe/Nokia need is someone highlighting the negative aspects of Flash.

If someone wanted to publically "embarrass" Adobe & nokia into porting Flash.....

Why dont you reply to him and tell him that you have an email from Kevin Lynch asking you to contact Nokia. Will forward them the email if need be.

EDIT: Sorry that was meant for neotalk who posted the mail from Nokia.

N900 is not getting flash 10.1 (if we were Nokia would have announced it with fanfare like QT). So if you NEED flash 10.1 access, then bite the bullet and get another phone (Droid prolly) - cause you will be waiting in vain otherwise.
Where are your sources to these so called facts please?

And we now have to quit using Google Streetview. Since 6/21 it needs Flash 10. It's a damn' bad thing, it was very useful when traveling.

Err, isn't the Flash plug-in for Debian only available for x86?

Using street view on the n900 is a pain in the *****. a few weeks ago i used my girlfriends HTC desire wich uses GPS and compass to exactly turn streetview to the real view. That really works well!

The damn stylus and the mouse indicator option on the n900 are sad! half of the time the mouse pointer optiont just shuts down again or lags or istn working at all. not to mention the speed that its running on... its terrible!

check this video below... this is the way apps should work. not the glitching browser and the crappy apps we have in the extra devel that can also brick your device

Really. Because it works fine for me ... and I never have the mouse pointer crash. Guess you are just lucky.
