Apple bumper does solve the reception issue completely and phone sill looks cool.
Apps are great, iTunes works completely, maps have guidance and traffic and best of all - I still havent charged it and have had several calls, several albums and spent a lot of time on the internet. I am now at half charge.
If I did that with the N900 (I sold it on eBay) I would need to recharge at least every night. Sometimes I recharged by lunchtime at work so needed a cable wherever I went.
Brill battery - and I am not missing my N900.

Let it be known however, that due to FCC rules, all new phone antenna, not just the iPhone's must be placed as far from the user's head as possible. This explains the bottom mounted antenna. Of course it's going to cause reception issues; somewhat.
The FCC is trying to save lives, not phone calls. - Sucks, right?
Many iPhone users in the past have complained about dropped calls when holding the device at the bottom, this is no different. It's always best to hold your phone away from the antenna. Duhh.
