Is this something I just missed, or is Video Center new? I just found while browsing through the App Manager what appears to be a version of Nokia's mobile phone Video Center application for NIT available for download. The Service Catalogue doesn't have many channels in it (most noticeably missing Youtube), but it appears to be the same kind of thing I've seen on the N95 and the like.

Sorry if this is old, but both a Google and forum search turned up nothing.

I haven't seen this. Still don't. What repository is it in?

It's in Extras, but I can't seem to be able to bring it up no matter what happens. It appears to be new, put up today.

Hmm.. allows you to use an external player... and to choose where to save to.

I think this is a good example of some of the stuff that Nokia's working on that we just don't know about. Makes me excited about some of the other stuff that might pop up in the future.

By the way, gotta love the Download button/progress bars.

looks like a nice app to get video downloaded onto the device. The service is a good fit for the n800.

Looks like a nice little app - I like how you can download the feeds for later offline viewing. Anyone have any recommended video feeds to add?

Odd. I just installed it, added one of the feeds from their tiny list and when I tried to get it to play ANYTHING it just gave me the "File format not supported" error.
Yeah, I don't think this is ready for prime-time yet. If it's due to a missing codec or something then Nokia needs to include that as a dependancy on the .DEB file.

Perhaps it missed the videoplayer-plugins? It's all worked for me so far, but I have to admit that I haven't played with it much yet... still at work and have a shitty wifi connection here.
