I'm glad it works but it shouldn't have corrupted the config file in the first place

Had to remove the cfg file and reinstall the game too.

//edit: the game won't start up anymore after I have muted the ingame sound.
Anyone knows a solution other then deleting the cfg file and reinstalling the game twice a day ?

Hi,

the problem has been found, fixed and hopefully the new version will be available soon.

There is no need to reinstall the whole game. If the game hangs and closes on startup the application is actually still running in the background (even though the window closes) and needs to be terminated completely. To get the game running again do the following in the terminal:
Code:
killall spin
rm .spin.cfg
Deleting the configuration file will return the default volume levels.

Luckily there is a workaround until the new version is available.
The problem occurs if the audio has been completely disabled when quitting the game and the game is later run again. If you want to play without sound, set the volume level so low it is not audible but not completely disabled either. So for example set the music volume to zero but leave a few pixels in the sound fx bar

EDIT: some clarifications

Yup, SPiN update has been submitted to QA. Let's hope we did it right so it doesn't do the Angry Birds disappearing trick for the duration

I just bought the game today, it's a lot easier to play it in my N900 than my previous Symbian phones . It seems it didn't do the dissapearing trick Angry Birds did, at least for now :P. I'm wondering, how are the sales of SPiN and ZenBound going Frand?

That's a topic that shall not be discussed on a public forum

It's also far too soon to draw any conclusions either. An analysis for any sales channel can be done only after having data from both the initial spike and the "long tail".
