Overclock it? I bit the bullet this morning and it appears to be working just fine with titan's "kernel-power" - run a search for this or alternatively jakimans overclocking guide and see if that helps. Bear in mind this is only if you want to void your warranty. I did this because I was getting frustrated with sound hangs and loops, slow camera image processing speed, slow loading of apps and jerky transitions. Everything appears to be working faster and smoother now. For the time being.

I don't care about my warranty personally.

its slow after about 2-3 days uptime.

Everything is slow. See the description in my original post. Its the same. Today an alarm went off, and I pressed "STOP" and after 10 seconds the alarm stops!

So, what have you installed? Do you have many widgets running on your hildon-home?

Start an XTerminal, type "top" and look at the %CPU column and look for applications that have a large number there.

Large in this context would be more than 7%.

The Xorg process should use this much and is to be ignored.

nothing really installed thats the problem!

Xord and hildon-Desktop are over 7%!

Everything else is less that 1%.

I just got an email right, and the yellow bubble appears. I click the X, its not closing.... after 7 seconds it closes!

There's a bug in PR1.2's hildon-desktop where, if your menu has sub-categories, it can consume about that much CPU:

Really? Either you have installed something or you haven't, there is no middle ground.

So, what did you install?

If you have any widgets installed, uninstall and reboot. The problem you are describing sounds a lot like what is caused by python widgets.

In my case, removing recaller (recording widget) and personal IP address widget solved the problem. I'm not sure which was responsible and haven't tried adding back one, but i have had all kinds of weird behavior with recaller, so i would bet on that one.

Cartorise could be ONE of the problems, it was discussed when the hildon-desktop bug was found

In my case it happen too. Having 2 or 3 days uptime is a nightmare, maybe 2 days not so much, but 3 days start to really slow down everything. I have seen people here that says they have 20 days uptime, and I don't say they are lying but I do think they only use sms and nothig else, like the blackberry people, cause one big problem that causes slows down is browsing the web and really use multitasking.

I'm working on a script to help with the problem. It will NOT fix the bugs that NOKIA should fix, but it helps. Give 2 or 3 days and I will open a thread with my script.
