Yo!

KDE on the N800 and N770... Pengunbait is a genius

Ok, well, the post is on the forums, but it isn't too friendly for new users and only include a few lines of instructions... so... I did a write up with a full set of directions and the screenshots from KDE on the n770 and n800! Check it out

This is handy, and I've bookmarked your site. Now we'll need one like this when Penguinbait finishes his work on XFE.

Maybe you can write Penguinbait for Dummies...I'm sure it would be popular.

This is very interesting. If I'm going to dual-boot from mmc do I have to re-install all applications? These instructions are so good that I like to try dual-boot but I have lots of applications installed and I haven't found the answer yet.

A great tutorial! But please tell me, how snappy is the user interface and the browser? I wouldn't want to go through the trouble of installing KDE only to find it unresponsive.

i'm testing it right now, on a n770, latest HE.
Thing is, i have a 1G mmc card, with a 920M linux partition, so not enough space.
What I did is share the bzip on my linux and access it with cifs.
Maybe it's useful for ppl with small cards

Installing right now

Holy crap you guys, I can't believe this went over so well

KDE on the N770 runs pretty decently, actually, you may need to give it a wee' bit of SWAP on a swapfile, though, about 24 MB should be fine!

http://maemo.org/community/wiki/howto_createswap/

If you follow the instructions, you will have all your current apps on your dual-boot

Ah, sorry, but no flash unless you have the N800...

A Youtube vid would be very awesome... Hmmm.... Good idea, I'll see about that!
