thats what i came up with, although its a mod, not an app, you need rootsh 1.5, and winscp or mc to move the files, when its set up it stops conversations from opening, but it wont stop new sms from arriving
Your mod needs to be an app , or put both buttons, so you can enable/disable.
Your mod could be taken to the next level, with some sort of security app, that would lock the phone, trigger the front facing camera or a host of other things without out anyone knowing; but first things first please create your mod into an app!

thanks leetut for the mod
but we need an application with stabiity and yes we do want to hide notifications for specific contact too...

Great job..but still needs to be polished...

Has anyone created a symbian s60 v3 emulator?
would be great as we can use its security softwares and office for n900..

if any developers are looking at this check out mumsms+ (s60 app) it really personifies what everyone wants from a app of this nature...

i.e. filteration of text messages dependant on specific allocated contacts/numbers both sent and received...this should be automatic..and onli accessible from the application which filters the messages to itself and this should be coded with a password/pin

and btw some need to hide messages from girlfriends that mums done approve lol...hence probably "mum"sms+

just use rtcom-eventlogger api and store desired messages into an app of its own. (regular security issues about encrypting stuff etc here)

then just add a password protection to the app and voila.

does your suggestion automatically take texts on receipt and store them away? or is it a manual procedure?
