I'm having a problem with my N900 recently. It says "Unable to receive or send new messages.
Device storage full
remove data to free memory"

and I've checked how much space I've got left on my device and I've got more than enough

Ever since this problem has occurred. When I go to media player, photos or messages it there seems to be nothing there. (No music videos, no photos etc)

But if I go on file manager and go on camera and look for my photos and videos they are there, same if I look for my audio files etc.

I would be very thankful if you guys (and girls) could help me out please

I'm sure it's linked to my media player and photos problem, as it happen at the same time

try to back up you photo and music and try to remove it.

But I don't think its related to that memory. Think it is calls/sms stuff

Just seems odd it all happening at the same time. I've backed up all my photos and stuff, so I'm not worried about losing them. It's just annoying having to use my ipod and and having my pockets full with my phone, keys, wallet and ipod

Have you tried deleting some or all of your SMS'es?
