I've been looking for a download of MyPaint since I saw the video on YouTube but have been unable to find it. I tried Google and searching the forums, but I get nothing more than just a general mention of the program. I appreciate any insight.

Maybe it's a typo and are you looking for mtpaint, not mypaint? If so go get "faint" on maemo garage (the debianized package).

I compiled mypaint and got it working and post the video, to show that apps such as this can run on maemo, and hopefully a dev would pick up the project and hildon it.
but mtpaint was lucky enough to get the attention.
but if you need mypaint i have a deb i think on divshare, i can send you a link.

most of the compiles i get working are for personal use, i don't get how to hildon, so the gui usually suck.

Ah, that would be why. Stupid me searched for paint on maemo.org but forgot to search on garage.maemo.org. Google wasn't a big help for once. I finally got faint to work after going into Red Pill mode and installing libXau.0. It does exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the info.
