Install the package called "Pidgin protocols plugin for Conversations and Contacts" from extras. That'll let you use Yahoo with conversations.

Thanks, but I am not talking about IM through Yahoo, I gave the pidgin plugin installed but how do I use that to send txt msg through yahoo. If it is possible, can you walk me through the steps on how to do it?

my yahoo messenger does not work anymore all it shows now is network error of the last two days . I didn't change anything it just stop working anyone have a clue how to fix this ?

Why Yahoo messenger and not google voice?
Well, GV works quite well for domestic contacts, but for international txt I have to look elsewhere. GV stopped supporting international txt (It used to work some time back, but now I get destination not supported). Plus the other advantage with Y! is that it is a domestic txt for the other party, its not a international txt. I have been using the yahoo mail txt option and it works nicely and I know that you can do the same through yahoo messenger as well, just dont know if I can do that through my n900.
