Great application !!
Was waiting for this since n900 launch.
I see all the "to do things" and i couldnt ask anything more.......
except.....it would be great if Fastsms could pick up nummbers right by the default contacyt list ( i read that vert SMS can do that, but it lacks many other features already belonging to FastSMS )...
One more thing...the option to attach a picture making it become fast MMS too...maybe working together with fMMs.

Yes, normal e-book as pdf or txt. I have already some old requests for new languages and when i come back to home (next week) i will do it.

A lot of people asked for use default contact list. I will study how vertSMS works and i will try to add this features, but you must consider that using MyContacts or Horizontall-call give the chance to add some features in future like send messages to groups.
I never thinked about integrate also MMS in this app...When the SMS part will be stable and finished i will talk with its developer!

Hi everyobody,
I'm really proud to announce my first maemo application in Testing repository: FastSMS. This app allows writing SMS using an input style like T9: obviously it isn't the same algorithm, but could be a good starting point.
FEATURES:
*FastSMS comes with italian, english, spanish, french,portuguese and german dictionaries.
*It is possible choose between portait, landscape or autorotate orientation
*Send SMS are displayed in standard conversation window
*New words can be inserted and saved
*PhoneBook managed using MyContacts or Horizontal-Call

* Make more big button in landscape UI
* SMS notification as option
* Multiple send
* Manage capitalisation and all standard symbol
* Add option for use as default input method in portrait
* Option for disabling FastInput style
* Long-pressed button insert numbers

* Implement a more simple way for manage words in dictionaries
CHANGELOG SINCE 0.2-3:
* If you change language, previous dictionary is deleted from memory correctly.

This file contains custom added words that i can add to standard dictionaries in future version.

Great app, onlything it's lacking in my opinion is capital letters, after that it's perfect for me.

hello!
i'm working on fastSMS now...
For build the swedish dictionary (or others languages) I need ebooks or something similar. Someone sent me a dictionary but it is not good for the purpose: too many words (not in this particular case) and I'm unable to create a word "weight"

hiya mate u r doing a great job for well done n keep it up this one of the many missing features on n900 but thanx to u its getting solved. but i have one issue with ur app which is on my n900 using fastsms if i type a msg n look up for a contact using horizontal call wen the msg is sent it doesnt show up in my msgs in conversation but if i do same thing n use fastsms app n instead of using horizontal call app to look for contact and type in the number the msg sent shows up in my msgs in conversations! i want to use fastsms but want the msgs sent showing in my conversations wid using the contact search thru the app! thanx mate!
