Got my 770 in the mail today (bought off ebay for $150). I've gotta say that so far this thing is exceeding my expectations. Already hopped on my WPA-personal secured wireless lan and did a little web surfing and net radio. The built-in video player was able to open a properly encoded file from my mac via http, and i had a little bit of success using vlc to transcode and stream to mplayer on the 770 (emphasis on little).

I'm looking forward to pushing this little guy to his limits. The big project is using it as a portable display from my media collection: I'd like to be able to select, on the device (via web, probably), a video from my collection, and then have it streamed over the wifi in whatever the best format for the 770. Any tips for this are greatly appreciated.

Aside from that, it's time to buy a 2gb mmcm card and get 2007hacker edition on here... then go to town! Also looking forward to doing a little software development -- could this be the onus to *finally* learn python?
