but I had some difficulties when accessing to QSettings class:
when I start the program from Terminal with "root" enabled, settings was saved successfully; however as I run from the application launcher, the settings won't save~
any clue to this? or it's only my machine's problem?!

Settings are stored to different location depending how you are running the application.
/root
/home/user
/home/developer (QtCreator)
