Can we simply copy some of the text-only (CLI/xterm) programs/scripts from the full BackTrack version to the Easy Debian environment (chroot) on the N900 and run them as an alternative to waiting for neopwn's release?

I fully understand the GUI tools would need to be reconfigured, re-compiled, but what about the command-line only tools which have been available on the BackTrack full version?

Please share any thoughts on this,

command line tools are also compiled for specific cpu architecture. Scripts aren't though, so you can copy them. But most of them rely on the binary programs.

Not to mention that some command line tools require specialised drivers for (eg. Packet injections).

Some tools have been converted across already. What are you looking for specifically? Wardriving? Penetration testing?

you mean Kismet? and yeah, there is monitor mode driver for wifi already available, you should be able to use aircrack without injection. nmap is already available aswell, I seen working metasploit framework somewhere on tmo, other tools are for sure working as well, just search for them.

I also cross compiled some of the bluetooth tools which works great,
i think they'll be present in neopwn with all dependancies satisfied.
