I had ordered my N800 from Amazon.com for $357.98 two weeks ago. I love my N800. Just saw a thread about N800 price drop at buy.com so I checked Amazon.com and it is now selling for $279.99.
I called their customer service and talked to this rep in India and asked if they could refund me the price difference since it has only been a couple of weeks. He told me that the price difference of $77.99 will be credited to my credit card in 3-5 business days. No questions asked. I love Amazon.com

I just got my N800 ($359.99 from Amazon, via TigerDirect). Did yours come through a third party like Tiger Direct, or was it direct from Amazon itself? I'm not sure if it's even worth asking for a refund of the difference, since it was via a third party... anybody got any idea there?

Edit: I just called and sure enough, they cannot refund the difference because it was through TigerDirect... boy, talk about a good lesson learned. If you buy through Amazon, make sure it's actually sold by Amazon itself, and not some third party. :-(

I bought mine from amazon. I prefer to not use other sellers because I like amazon's customer service and return policies. Check Tigerdirect's return policy.

Wow, that's nice of Amazon! I've never heard of retailers being that generous.

Sweet, amazon also refunded my difference! I'll be shopping there even more in the future - always had very good customer service experiences with them. Thanks for posting this!

Thanks for the heads up! I just got off the phone, and had the same experience for both N800's I just bought (one is for my son)!
