For me, Nokia does not need to be defended on a public forum against people who have a fisheye view of the world.
I vote with my money. My last 2 phones / tablets were Nokia.
My future phones will be Nokia and/or Meego.

I admit that I'm tempted by Android, but the most I'll do is get one for my wife.

Edit: Oh and gas balls rock. Thats the 2nd most used fun app I have - after Angry Birds.

can you imagine going to an exspensive restaurant and ordeing the best meal they have and then being told that you have cook the food yourself and then wash the dishes before you leave?
i think thats wat nokia did. they released an exspensive product and basically said, its up to you to create the most basic apps(like seperate ringtones or groups in contacts or ovi maps or 3g video calling or even portrait desktop) for this product cos we are going with a completely diff os. i actually think the guys in this community should get paid for the effort they put into this product, not only by us the users but by nokia mainly cos they are doing nokia work for them.

i didnt say that it was my particular cup of tea. But i did say that i was more impressed with it than gas balls. I installed live wallpaper and then uninstalled it. It doesnt serve a purpose to me at all.

Have you used Linux other than on this phone? Did you buy the hardware for running that Linux?
Would you have gone whining to Linus Torvalds because OpenOffice isn't working for you?
And since you're talking money, how about you start paying us then?

That makes many people sado-masochists: We love getting BJs while being kicked in the nuts.

I just came in to say... "gas balls"

I don't get too many chances in life to say that combo.
