"How can I enable 360p and 480p video playback? It only plays mobile videos (240p)!"

It is actually pretty simple. Go into the preference menu --> more options then "youtube-dl" you can specify the download quality with the "-f" option"

For medium quality, i use this:

youtube-dl-x -f 18 -o %d --%s

For additional codes look at this site:

Thanks for your efforts and the great app!
I managed to make it work after installing the patch on
https://garage.maemo.org/frs/downloa...tube_0.0.4.deb

It is working fine now. Running OS2008 on a N800

Eddited to add: I am storing the movies on the external removable memory card and running it from the Extras menu.

Can you check now?

I think it isn't working anymore, I applied the previous patch and it was success but I can't use for play or download videos since at least one week

Code:
youtube-dl-x -o %d -- %s
As always, use at your own risk. I tested on my N800, and it did ok, but I am not responsible if your NIT catches fire, causes an epidemic, etc.
Hi, I have been trying to make mytube work on my N810 running OS2008. I tried all the steps discussed in this forum so far but no success. Clicking the download or play buttons only result in downloading the video information but not the actual video. The swirling action of icon stops approximately after 10 after clicking play/download buttons. Appreciate if you could help in identifying the problem. Thanks!

Yeup.

Same here.

It seems like the latest patch no longer works.

Hi, did any one checked if the Mytube is downloading the youtube videos now? I am really looking forward to some application that can help in offline downloading and playing Youtube videos.
