A couple of weeks ago I installed Nitdroid along with multiboot in order to take a peek at android.

One thing I've noticed is that if I switch my phone OFF overnight, and plug into charger, in the morning the battery is only say 85% full. I'm pretty sure this started with multiboot, and actually less power seems to be used if I leave it switched on in offline mode

Presumably when the N900 is plugged in to charge it does actually boot in some way ... so in this case is the multiboot kernel perhaps a little inefficient.

I do have a 2nd battery so can do some experiments, but wondered if anyone else was seeing this?

Come to nitdroid development forum and discuss this in detail.

hi...need urgent help pls!!

hi,please help. i tried downloading nitdroid from the application manager but it didnt show up in extras devel..and i couldnt get it by apt get...someone suggested adding a repo of nitdroid..that didnt work too...so i tried downloading nitdroid-installer_0.2.7_armel.deb from nitdroid downloads...it gave an error about 2 missing dependencies...multiboot-kernel-maemo_0.3_armel.deb and multiboot_0.2.10_armel.deb. i tried downloading and installing them directly. i installed multiboot_0.2.10_armel.deb, got a msg to update..and did so. now when i start my phone...i get a white screen with the msg 'press a key to select' it has nokia n900 multiboot written on top and the number 30 on the right.i have tried pressing all the keys but nothing happens, expect that the numbers count down to 1 and start on 30 again.the phone switches off after some time automatically...any help...whats happening?

Since installing nitdroid the phone discharges in less than 6 hours, and becomes a little hot. I thought it was due to beta quality battery management in nitdroid, but it seems I have the same problem in maemo. It is not a huge difference, I had about 9-12 hours before with the same configuration depending on usage, but it tempts me to remove nitroid...

This issue is caused by an old installation of bootmenu-n900 from extras-devel. The old bootmenu provides /usr/sbin/evkey which is in conflict with multiboots /bin/evkey. Uninstalling old bootmenu does not clean this file. You will have to manually remove /usr/sbin/evkey to make the multiboot menu working fine.
