Nice Does anyone want to buy an N800 with a 2gb SD card for $225? Got some extra painted faceplates and its in perfect condition. (Good german screen protector installed on it, so zero scratches).

PM Me! Im serious!

Mil, the "radical makeover" will be more software-based. That's where the most room (and potential) for improvement lies, as I'm sure you'll agree.

But your compliants have been mostly hardware oriented. You really have to have one in your hands to see where that focus might be a bit misguided.

Support for h.264? Smooth flash video?

Does this really mean they got some sort of 2D acceleration going on? I will be so happy to purchase an N810 if that means we can scroll fast and smooth on web pages, as well as watch unconverted "iPod/iPhone" format videos.

I am very excited, and glad you told me to check on ITT instead of disappearing hehe.

Hmmm. How to answer... I'll just say that Nokia has promised to continually improve the video experience whereever possible.

Since the announcement... it should be OK to reveal some more details...

Browser is based on MicroB (Firefox). No more Opera... as I told half year ago that Opera days are counted...

Flash is improved such as youtube is actually watchable now. (I need to check Google videos...)

Overall the UI feels faster than old OS. Transparent desktop applets look nice. There are some animations made on opening/closing applications etc... Menus are made bigger so that it can be used with finger. (But I'm so used to use stylus that I haven't used fingers much.)

And of course all these new supported video formats work on N800 too... (Haven't tried H.264 yet.)

Battery life appear better, which is due to improved power saving features in the OS.

So the new OS brings new life to N800.

The downside: Most Bora applications do not install. They will need to be recompiled.
