Ok, ok, I gave up and re installed the app using xterminal. A CHARM now =)

anytime i try to add a new list of songs(by putting a new uncompressed folder in the opt/beat2x/packs), the game always crashes when i hit the 'start' option in the game. Can anyone help me with this issue ? many thanks in advance !

Hi al,

i've the same error of all.

"Module format not recognized"

I've installed

libsdl-mixer1.2 1:1.2.6-5+0m5+ogg+mp3

but not works and i give the same error.

With dpkg -l |grep mixer i see there are 2 package:

libsdl-mixer1.2 1:1.2.6-5+0m5+ogg+mp3

libsdl-mixer1.2

it's correct? Or can be conflict error with the old lib?

If I try to open the intro.ogg with mplayer i hear the audio but i've that error:

can't open audio device /dev/dsp: No such file or directory

So, if I'm getting this right we have to install libsdl-mixer1.2 1:1.2.6-5+0m5+ogg+mp3 and let mp-fremantle-generic-pr being removed to get the game working!?

Is there no way to keep the (important) mp-fremantle-generic-pr package?

mp-fremantle-generic-pr isn't important! This only needed for software update, like PR1.2... If the new update is coming, you can reinstall the mp-fremantle-generic-pr package!

I was having trouble with libsmpeg0 after installing this. I did "mkdir /usr/share/doc/libsmpeg0" in x-terminal to solve it and it now works fine!

It will update your libsdl-mixer to include that +ogg+mp3 part, and then it will work.
ive tried this and it worked!!! only problem i wanna suggest to the developer of this app: control customization...the configuration of the default controls are for the "game gripper", but how about the regular keyboard of our n900??
