To select test in conversation go into the conversation you want to select, then swipe from the left to bring in 'hover mode', and that way you can select text. To copy it use Ctrl + C, and to paste use CTRL + V.

It is the exact same way in the browser. Here's a video tutorial:

thanks pantera1989... i know the hover mode thingy but thats not the problem i am facing... hover mode is in browser mode, but during conversation, i should be able to highlight my text by default right? (i can highlight the text before, but now suddenly cannot)

not highlight text as below, but highlight the text entered in the white textbox...

i think this happens after i uninstall several applications, which i had forgotten which one... there is also a problem/bug with application named scim being uninstall which will cause Fn and Shift key to become "unsticky", thus am wondering is it the same case here...

thanks in advance

There's a manual for the N900?
I must find and investigate this fabled document!

Thanks slender, after nearly a year it's good to know there are still new things to learn about the N900.

BaGaTa, the white box is a multi line text box. If you type alot into it your text starts to disapear out of the top, touching it to select will infact scroll it, it will not select anything. It never has been touch to select, you must use the Shift+Arrow keys to select text.
