Hi all,

I would like to use the N900 as a standard USB microphone that I can plug on my Linux laptop.
Is there an app or a hack to make this possible ?

EDIT: I've edited to be more precise, as I was indeed speaking about a micrphone

N900 already uses a Micro USB..

How about changing the title to reflect what you are trying to ask?

Should be possible via the g_audio kernel module (Audio class gadget driver). Have not tried it myself, but would like to have it, too

N900 has a GREAT audio quality on MIC. I would love this ( I have a cheap *** 2USD mic that makes weird noises)

I can't seem to find g_audio in the N900 kernel sources. Maybe some kernel hacker can compile the module for the N900. According to the docs, it might be possible that it does not work depending on the USB hardware. But it would be worth a try

This guide allows you to use your N900 as microphone trough the audio jack or USB (although the USB way seems a bit complicated): http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...4&postcount=19.
EDIT: oh, that guide wasn't for USB, it was for WLAN, sorry
