Hi from Melbourne Australia.
I'm thinking of buying the N900 but wonder if it's better to wait for it's successor.

Hi. i'm not actually a new member, but joined when the n900 was new. In a moment of madness i parted company with my original n900, and have been jumping about between various android sets and the occasional iproduct, but i'm back.
From experience, i can now categorically say that if you're a bit of a geek, like myself, then the n900 is simply the best phone on the planet, period. I have noticed that sources here in the UK from where you can buy the n900 new seem to be drying up a bit, so i grabbed one quick along with a screen protector, because if there's one thing where the n900 is lacking, it's with soft screen (easily scratched).
So, let the time consuming sport of modifying to the breaking point commence, again!!

Hello everyone,
I've been reading here for a few weeks now.
I'm a Belgian expat in Beijing, probably one of the only n900 owner over here (feel free to prove me wrong, I could only be happy about it...)
