hi ,

i read some posts about installing xmms on n8x0 . But what about n900?.
is it possible? or amarok?. Anyone tried debian package of amarok and successful? if xmms2 works this will be very good . becouse of gapless playback.

well xmms2 is installed on easy debian by defailt.. but im not sure you wanna have easydebian running in the background all the time

yeah you are right, it sounds fantastic. But i m sure its worth it . i run easydebian only when i want to listen music. On easy debian xmms2 , it has gapless playback right?especially becouse of this i m looking for a new media player.

It might be a better idea to try to port Clementine thank Amarok, it a rewrite of Amarok 1.4 using Qt4 and doesn't have dependencies on Kde librairies.

It's possible and easy to install Amarok on Easy Debian. It's already in repo, all you have to do is download libavcodec51 and libxine1-ffmpeg for mp3.
