funny what people say. folks: ammy puts some data on an /external/ mmc!
if that hurts maemo in any way, there would certainly be a lot wrong with maemo. well: it doesn't and maemo is fine in this regard.
still ammy: there was a post some days ago about how to install uboot with the maemo kernal piggypacked. that way you don't temper with maemo in any way(well besides reflashing the kernel once) and you you dont wear off your int. mmc.

i like to test new stuff and mods, want to get the highest potential of my device even if i ended up with a bricked device, i have my brother's as a backup 
i tried almost all mods including nitdroid so it's meego time ppl

the worst to happen is that i have to reformat an mmc.
btw: there is also a virtual machine so you can thest things to some extend on you pc.
