Totally up to who you are. If you looking for a better OS than Maemo, Meego is not it at this moment, but if you are a Qt developer then i can see the benefit of running Meego 1.1

funny what people say. folks: ammy puts some data on an /external/ mmc!
if that hurts maemo in any way, there would certainly be a lot wrong with maemo. well: it doesn't and maemo is fine in this regard.

still ammy: there was a post some days ago about how to install uboot with the maemo kernal piggypacked. that way you don't temper with maemo in any way(well besides reflashing the kernel once) and you you dont wear off your int. mmc.
have fun!

nb: i had a glance at what meego folks achieved the last few month: really impressing!

i've got some mmcs with multiple osses on them. i patched up uboot a little that it shows me a menu and can read from an ext2 mmc. and boots from the mmc /and/ maeomo and that way maemo stays completely untouched.
the worst to happen is that i have to reformat an mmc.

btw: there is also a virtual machine so you can thest things to some extend on you pc.

hth.

That's what I thought, there is not better OS than maemo5 IMO for the time, I have a lot of fun with it for my personnal use, then I just don't need to try to install meego 1.1 for what I see of it, and I'm not a developer to enjoy myself with.
So let's see when it will be the time to mego 1.2...

better to wait for the final release of 1.1, otherwise you will damage ur N900.
