Ok... I'm gonna start... Made some researching

1- Catorise or MyMenu -
With you are running PR1.2 carefull with catorise or MyMenu, to avoid batt leak you have to install MohammadAG mod.
Attention!!! This problem is not catorise or mymenu fault... is a bug in hildon desktop triggered by this apps.. (if I wrote something wrong plz let me know)

2 - flashlight add-on
Causes Ohmd eats battery (Don't know a solution yet)

please create a wiki page for keeping the list up to date.

for example http://wiki.maemo.org/Battery_consum...g_applications

and btw there are tools for checking software:
http://wiki.maemo.org/Documentation/devtools/maemo5

and please file sensible / useful bug reports with the developers / maintainers of the applications in question.

Make sure that the bug isn't already being tracked by them and give them sufficient information to reproduce or investigate if it isn't.

Qt and dbus - this combination forces application POLL 5 TIMES per SECOND. Instead of having time service it enforces 245msec poll() and effectively kills any battery saving efforts in kernel and anywhere.

I think the problem is that not everyone is going to have the same experience or the same results. For example:

I have Catorise and one of the two flashlight add-ons (I use the one that turns no the camera flash leds), and have had them installed since PR1.1. I've seen no significant battery drain from either, and in fact have gotten close to 40 hours on a single charge routinely over weekends most of this past summer. I also run Titan's kernel at ulv 500/900, and have lots of other mods, though I do not use MohammadAG's hildon desktop replacement. (Not that there's anything wrong with it, I just haven't found a need to use it.)

I think for any list like this to make sense you have to make some assumptions about what's at the base. The problem is, that's not a good assumption to make in this forum. I'd love to take a poll to see how many people are running stock kernel, desktop, etc. I'd bet that most people people that have found this forum aren't, making a list of things that cause problems on a stock system kind of useless.

I turned the apps into a table for easier reading. If anyone has a problem with it, feel free to undo it :-)

@MohammadAG: Is there an offiziös hildon-desktop mod for PR1.3 ?
A user here made a fix, but I'm not sure if it's working correctly.
Thx for your answer.
