So I added a bunch of events to the n900's calendar. Not synchronized from anywhere or anything like that. All of a sudden all of the events move one hour later. When I go to edit the event to move it back an hour I see that in the editing dialog it shows up with the correct time! I change the event but when I close the dialog it goes back to being an hour later!

So I have an event showing up in the calendar for 11:00, I edit the event and it shows up there as 10:00, when I move the event to 10:05, it shows up in the calendar as 11:05.

The only thing I did before this happened that might explain is I changed the clock to be updated automatically, but the clock was configured with the correct timezone before the update. I even changed it back and rebooted, but nothing...

The only way to fix this is to either create new events, or to mark the event as a whole day event and then reset it back to it's time...

This has happened to me 2~3 times already (once it came back by itself), does anyone have any suggestions? I am guessing this is a timezone issue, it's just a shame that an event doesn't show you the time zone info for each event...

I can confirm this as a bug. Since the daylight savings time auto moved the time an hour back, so have my calendar entries. Also affects the alarm as well sort of like the iPhone bug.

I am sure that is not a desired effect, as obviously calendar entries and alarm entries should remain static as the user entered them. I think it is time to add this to the PR1.4 bugfix backlog.

I guess the fixes are as indicated above ... or wait until we move an hour ahead again ... matter of fact you can also move your timezone an hour back. For me I changed from gmt -5 to gmt -4, the calendar moved but alarms didn't.

Any others having these issues, and is Nokia aware?

Mine are all synced down from google via nuevasync, now they're all 30 minutes ahead of time.

Looks like my issue might be due to this: https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5769

Turning off time auto update has fixed it.

Yes that seems to have fixed the problem.
The problem might be because I'm in israel and the way DST works here is kinda weird compared to other places. (The date that the DST is set is based on the Jewish calendar and even then there are small fluctuations every year)

I would say a proper fix is to have the timezone info displayed in some way in the dialogs, just the inconsistency between the display and the edit dialog was annoying...
